NGC EU Service undisrupted by the Covid pandemic

Electricity is something the world cannot do without. Thus, independent of the actual pandemic, wind turbines need to work properly. We at NGC Transmission Europe are glad to report that the Covid-19 pandemic only had a very minor effect on our service performance at NGC Transmission Europe last year. For the year ahead in 2021 we also do not foresee any issues fulfilling our service orders, despite existing travel restrictions and interruptions in the supply chain.

We expect that it will take a little while before our fairly young service crew are vaccinated and travelling no longer requires a negative test, but up until then, testing is the method of choice, along with highly detailed organization of our service mission. Travel restrictions are checked daily by our service coordinators. Waiting for test results is taken into consideration when planning a service mission and close cooperation with our company doctor ensures that special travel requirements are double checked and fulfilled. We were able to avoid any Covid-19 related sick leave so far and we hope that this also will not happen in the future. Furthermore, we were not affected by any delays in spare parts deliveries. As a result, all service orders could be carried out perfectly on time.
