NGC delivers 10,000th WindEnergy Gearbox to Windey

At the beginning of February, gearbox manufacturer NGC and wind turbine manufacturer Windey had a good reason to celebrate: NGC delivered the 10,000th wind main gearbox unit and the first batch of offshore wind gearboxes to Windey.

Over the past 20 years, NGC has supplied main gearboxes from 250kW to 9.XMW platforms to Windey. NGC was awarded just last year with Windey’s "Best Strategic Partner Award" for hitting a record high by having developed a total of 17 new models for them in 2022.

By looking at this long-term cooperation in onshore wind and with the start of delivering products for the 15 MW offshore platform, a new chapter for the historically grown partnership between the two companies has begun.
