NGC's industrial gear division on a new path to actively improving quality

NGC's industrial gearbox division, Nanjing High Speed & Accurate Gear (Group) Co., Ltd. has recently officially launched its Supplier Quality Academy. Quality personnel from 48 raw materials, parts and component suppliers collaborated to explore how to improve overall quality throughout the supply chain.

Suppliers’ product quality has a direct impact on the quality, delivery and cost of NGC’s products. In other words: NGC expects best quality, highest efficiency, and lowest cost with a zero-error rate.
This means, DOING IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME is the way to reach these values.

Specifically, suppliers should meet the “Four Zeros” criteria:

• Zero credit problems.
• Zero serious batch quality problems.
• Zero repeated problems.
• Zero implementation problems.

Special quality-related training courses were offered to put theory into practice.

The new approach, providing a platform for learning and improvement to devise a mutually beneficial strategy for all participants, was well received by the audience.
